Athletes in all sports will become stronger and more fit as our
camp coaches lead them
through dynamic old school training methods with a foundation in modern exercise
science.
Athletes will be improve strength, power, endurance, and speed through our fast-paced and Spartan outdoor exercise curriculum that starts every morning with a morning dip in Panther Pond.
Coaches will combine traditional and old-fashioned exercises with modern exercise science to help athletes get stronger and in great shape for soccer, football, lacrosse, field hockey, basketball, hockey, skiing, track, or any sport.
The
daily program will be directed by current and former Division One track & field
athletes. Training
will include hill running,
jump rope, medicine ball
drills, beach sprints, swimming, rope climbing, ladder
running, dragging
logs, punching a speed bag, and splitting wood with an axe.

Coaches will teach athletes a series of 15 warm-up drills designed to improve athletic power, explosiveness, and speed.
Recreational activities that enhance strength & conditioning, such as Tug-of-War, dodgeball, and beach volleyball, will be included in the training.
Every day will also include optional periods when campers can elect to swim, kayak, canoe, fish, play wiffle ball, or enjoy other summer activities by a lake in Maine.
Outside
of the activity and coaching sessions the campers will participate in an
old-fashioned summer camp
experience with a
mandatory one hour reading period for summer reading.
Other recovery periods during the day will include card games and board games,
and exclude cell phones, texting, and computers. Each evening will conclude with
a campfire that features contests and readings that contribute to the
intellectual and character growth of the athletes.
