Peter Slovenski has coached men's and women's Track & Field at Bowdoin College since 1987. Bowdoin teams regularly finish among the top 5 teams in New England Division III championships, and in nine seasons placed among the top 20 teams in NCAA Division III.
Slovenski graduated with a B.A. in English from Dartmouth College in 1979, and an M.A. in Educational Administration from Stanford University in 1980. He was a 4-year letterwinner in winter and spring track at Dartmouth. He made the All-Ivy League track team as a pole vaulter in 1977 and 1978.
Slovenski and Dick Fosbury are co-founders and co-directors of the Dick Fosbury Track Camp. Slovenski and Fosbury have worked together on the track camp since 1992.
Slovenski has also been the director of the Bowdoin College Day Camp since 1989. He oversees a camp program that includes enthusiastic singing, dancing, and music. Slovenski plays rhythm guitar in the camp band.
